When Americans think of July, the first thing that comes to mind is the 4th of July. Our Independence Day. It’s a day off from work. Friends and family get together for barbeque and fireworks. We stuff ourselves with hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and apple pie. The second thing we think of is heat. July is typically the hottest month of the year, rivaling August (at least in Ohio).
But, did you know July has several memorable (or I guess if you didn’t know about it, then it’s unmemorable) and important holidays to cheer about? No? Where here’s a list for you to look forward to:
